Peter Shankman knows nice. He knows that companies that believe in niceness gain loyalists (a group more prized than loyal customers).
He shared his insights on customer service and sales in his book, “Nice Companies Finish First.” He also shared his ideas at Y’all Connect Presented by Alabama Power in 2013.
In the first of these two clips, he explains why loyalists are important, even more so than loyal customers. In the second clip, he gives an example of working with a nonprofit organization to not only save hundreds of thousands of dollars but also increase revenue.
