Meet the speakers presenting at Y’all Connect 2015.

Laura Creekmore

Laura Creekmore

Laura Creekmore is an experienced, award-winning content strategist, information architect, project manager, editor and writer, working in digital media since 1996. She opened Creek Content in 2008, helping clients achieve their business goals through well-planned and sustainable content strategy.

Creekmore worked at Nashville’s Hammock Inc. for 13 years, spending several years as the firm’s director of digital media. She served as director of content and community at SmallBusiness.com, managing the team that designed the site taxonomy and handled customer interaction. She is the recipient of many industry awards, including recognition from the Custom Publishing Council, the Web Marketing Association and the Webby Awards.

Kary Delaria

Kary Delaria

With 14 years of experience in public relations, media relations and marketing communication, Kary Delaria works with clients to develop digital and social communications strategy, specializing in social media community management, monitoring and analysis. She helps organizations identify benchmarks, goals and opportunities for maximizing their online presence; develop tactics to support sales and marketing objectives; and create systems to measure and monitor success.

Delaria serves as Social Media Manager for Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America.

Stacey Ferguson

Stacey Ferguson

Stacey Ferguson is Chief Curator of the Be Blogalicious community and conferences celebrating diversity among women in social media. She is also Founder and Chief Life Stylist at Justice Fergie Lifestyle Media. Her other roles include lifestyle media content and events producer, social media personality and veteran blogger.

Stacey is also a technology, advertising and consumer protection attorney by trade.

Kerry O’Shea Gorgone

Kerry O’Shea Gorgone, JD/MBA, is a lawyer, podcaster and speaker. A former college professor, she develops training programs for MarketingProfs and has addressed audiences at industry conferences including the B2B Marketing Forum, the Social Brand Forum, Vocus Demand Success and the B2B Marketing Forum, as well as private corporate events. Kerry is host of the weekly Marketing Smarts podcast for MarketingProfs, named one of the top business podcasts on the internet by FastCompany.

Kerry is also a movie buff, a Joss Whedon fan and a chocolate enthusiast.

David Griner is a longtime writer and editor for Adweek.com, where he oversees the rapidly growing site’s news team as Digital Managing Editor. Prior to joining Adweek full time, he spent 8 years as a writer, strategist and Vice President of Digital Content for a Birmingham-based advertising agency.

He’s a frequent public speaker on the topics of marketing, technology, digital journalism and content strategy.

Shaun King

An award-winning entrepreneur and humanitarian, Shaun King is widely regarded as one of today’s leading voices on how social media and a little bit of courage can make our world a radically better place. He speaks a message of hope and action more than 150 times a year, has appeared in more than 100 national and international press outlets, started and sold three tech companies, and raised more than $10 million for causes all over the world.

Currently a full-time author, speaker and executive coach for a wide variety of leaders, Shaun is married to his high school sweetheart, Rai. Their young family now lives in Atlanta and has called South Africa, Los Angeles, Kentucky and Manhattan home over the past few years.

An accomplished leader and passionate innovator, Wendy Lea has more than three decades of experience helping companies drive predictable growth through trusted relationships with customers and partners. With exceptional functional expertise in marketing, sales, financing and customer experience, she has lived and worked from coast to coast, delivering business solutions in more than30 countries around the world.

She is currently CEO at Cintrifuse, a nonprofit, corporate-led initiative that enables the building of high-growth companies in Cincinnati. With Cintrifuse, Wendy leverages networks to connect the region’s most promising startups to advice, talent, funding and customers. A native of Oxford, Miss., she now lives in San Francisco.

Ike Pigott

Ike Pigott

Ike Pigott is a veteran communicator based in Birmingham who got out of television news and back into life. Now working for Alabama Power, he specializes in corporate communications, but has interests that are all over the place.

Ike worked for 16 years in broadcast news, winning several awards (including an Emmy) for his writing and reporting. While in television, he started his crisis communication training consultancy, Positive Position.

He later worked for the American Red Cross, where he created the first disaster news blogs and the Red Cross Twitter account. As the Director of Communications and Government Relations for a five-state region, he served as an in-house crisis counsel for chapters and units.

At Alabama Power, he is involved in crisis planning and the integration of social media tools across the enterprise.

He gave the opening keynote at Y’all Connect 2013 and presented at Y’all Connect 2014. See his videos from the conference.

Taylor Robinson

Taylor Robinson

Director Taylor Robinson is the owner of Six Foot Five Productions, a full-service commercial and film production company in Birmingham. A West Texas native, he has crafted campaigns for many faith-based organizations such as Compassion International, Radical, LifeWay and along with other organizations such as the United States Olympic Committee. Taylor is also one of the co-creators and hosts of a thriving live storytelling event called Arc Light Stories.

David Wilson

David Wilson

David Wilson is a results-driven executive leader with 20-plus years of experience within a Fortune 50 company. He is a corporate innovator helping to develop UPS’ new initiative to work within the startup community.

David serves as president of the Birmingham chapter of the American Marketing Association, vice president of the board of directors for the Central Alabama Food Bank and member of the board of directors for the Nashville Business Incubator Center. He has also been an investor with the Birmingham Angel Network and taught at Indiana Wesleyan University, where he earned an MBA. He is an Air Force veteran.

He is married to Amee Wilson and is the father of four children. His hobbies include personal fitness, fishing, gardening and college hunting with his twin daughters.
